Haglund’s Deformity

27-year-old competitive female runner has chronic pain secondary to a large protruding mass on the back of her heel. She had a Haglunds deformity and developed a posterior heel bursa. We removed the bursa and removed the extra-large bony prominence causing pain and mass formation. We paid careful attention not to disrupt her Achilles tendon during the surgery. She was back to running in 3 weeks!
